Since 1987 Melior is a highly specialized Internet Security company with a history of long-term customer relationships
primarily in the United States of America and in Europe (originating in Muenster, capital of Westfalia, Germany).
Melior in the past
Directly or through it´s team members, Melior, Inc. - as a security services provider - has previously
been a contributor for large projects delivered on time and within budget, ranging from building & managing
e-commerce Internet sites, building a $20 million state-of-the-art data center and it´s professional
services business in Silicon Valley, thus helping companies raise significant Venture Capital (in one case
in excess of $600m), consulting Bank of America and Nationsbank during their 1998 merger on network security
issues, to designing and implementing a corporate-wide infrastructure upgrade / replacement for the largest
construction management company in the US (2001).
In 2002, Melior transformed from an independent infrastructure and security services company to become a
product company, thus concentrating on the development of break-through technology to provide defenses
against distributed Denial-of-Service (dDoS) attacks and Penetration Testing probes with CyberWarfare
Defense products.
Melior today
CyberWarfare Defense pilot systems were implemented as early as mid-2003 - to successfully protect an ISP in
the US and one of their customer's web sites with two billion page views per year against repeated dDoS attacks,
and other pilot installations at financial institutions; in Fall 2003 Melior successfully engaged in the dDoS
defense of the anti-Spam black lists through a targeted virus-payload attack, thus keeping
Spamhaus, SORBS and
SPEWS with their combined user base of 300 million alive; in February 2004 Melior launched the first, TCP-only
dDoS and PenTest defense product "iSecure" at the RSA show in San Francisco. With the release of Barbican RNP,
Melior finally completes the development cycle for the first dDoS and PenTest defense solution, which protects
all parts of the TCP/IP protocol (TCP, UDP, and ICMP).
Future projects
Future products will offer additional modules for the Barbican RNP platform; versions for higher throughput;
scaled-down, smaller versions for specialized applications; and other break-through technology addressing
another form of Denial-of-Service conditions created through Spam.
Anti-Crime / anti-Terrorist Efforts
Melior, Inc. contributes actively in anti-Crime and anti-Terrorism efforts with goverment agencies in the
United States and in Europe.
